More importantly, Rome accomplished what any successful drama must do- and that is to keep viewers caring about the characters to the very end. It also boasts an outstanding cast, incredibly choreographed bloody battles, and plenty of political machinations to keep you watching. And much like HBO’s massive hit Game of Thrones, Rome follows an intricately plotted story about political power, conquest, and loyalty.
